TestFlight beta

Quick guide

Install Markerful through your TestFlight invitation, then follow the steps below.

Connecting with the QR code

  1. Join the same network

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi or personal hotspot. Open Markerful on your iPhone and choose Control. The local connection doesn’t need internet access.

  2. Open the connection

On the Connect page, tap Start if the connection is stopped. Scan the QR code with the on-camera device and open the link in its browser.

  3. Launch the Screen

On iPhone or iPad, open Safari’s menu and choose Share → View More → Add to Home Screen. Add the shortcut, then launch Markerful from that icon. Menu wording can vary with your iOS version.

On Android or a computer, select Enter Full Screen on the welcome page.

  4. Ready to set up

Once the Screen connects, the Controller moves to Style. Choose a screen style, then adjust Chroma, Corners, Markers or Keyboard. Keep Markerful open on the Controller while you use the Screen.

Connecting a device without a camera

Share the link

Choose Share on the Controller’s Connect page. Use the share menu to send or copy the link, then open it in the on-camera device’s browser.

Pair with a code

Choose Pair. On the other device, type the exact address shown into the browser’s address bar. Enter the pairing code displayed on your Controller.

Both methods still need the same local Wi-Fi or hotspot. A shared link doesn’t turn the connection into an internet-based remote session.

Not connecting?

  • Check the network on both devices. They must be on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot. Guest or venue networks may prevent devices from reaching each other.
  • Check that the connection is running. If you see Start, tap it. Keep Markerful open on the Controller.
  • Launch the Home Screen shortcut on iPhone or iPad. Opening the instructions in Safari alone doesn’t complete the setup.
  • Use the current link or code. If you changed networks or restarted the connection, scan the current QR code or use Share or Pair again.
  • Check Local Network permission. If your iPhone asked whether Markerful could access the local network, allow access in Settings.

If the devices connect but controls appear unresponsive, bring the Screen page to the foreground and reopen the current connection link. If you can, try another Wi-Fi network or a personal hotspot to isolate a network problem.

Ask for help

Include both device models, OS versions, the Screen’s browser and which step you reached. Please don’t send active pairing codes or private connection links.

Display & full screen

iPhone & iPad

Launch the Screen from its Home Screen shortcut. This removes Safari’s normal browser controls. System indicators may remain, and some iOS versions apply blur near the status bar.

Android, Mac & Windows

Use Enter Full Screen from the welcome page. The operating system may still reserve part of the display, including the area around a MacBook’s camera notch.

Check your markers before the take

Look at all four corners on the actual device. If the system crops or softens them, increase Corner Distance until each marker is fully visible and sharp. Test portrait and landscape before you commit to the framing. Markerful cannot guarantee control over operating-system overlays.

For typing and dialling, choose Keyboard & Numpad. The keyboard follows the device orientation; you can adjust its opacity from the Controller.
